jenny brought the bottle home<\/span>

\n<\/span>the one with bob and tupac riding bareback<\/span>
\n<\/span>riding stallions into sunset<\/span>
\n<\/span>setting hoof against the desert dust<\/span>
\n<\/span>righteous warriors making up for what we lack<\/span>
\n<\/span>they remind her of the rain<\/span>
\n<\/span>the way she washes out again and again<\/span><\/p>\n

i’ve had it pointed out to me <\/span>
\n<\/span>more than a few times<\/span>
\n<\/span>that there’s not a single one of us <\/span>
\n<\/span>getting out of this alive<\/span><\/p>\n

jenny took the long way home<\/span>
\n<\/span>she said she didn\u2019t want to see her sisters<\/span>
\n<\/span>seems it took too much to hide<\/span>
\n<\/span>the secret she\u2019d been secretly withholding<\/span>
\n<\/span>without a hint to anyone<\/span>
\n<\/span>you see she\u2019d gone and got the gun<\/span>
\n<\/span>soon her worldly troubles would be done<\/span><\/p>\n

jenny\u2019d been a quiet bird<\/span>
\n<\/span>the kind you never thought to ever think about<\/span>
\n<\/span>thinking she could get along<\/span>
\n<\/span>getting lost in longing like a raging river wild<\/span>
\n<\/span>guess she\u2019d always been a river child<\/span>
\n<\/span>living only for a dream<\/span>
\n<\/span>dreaming only of her vanishing<\/span><\/p>\n
